Dictionaries

Here are a couple of Dictionaries that I always find useful.

Remember: when you search for something on the Internet, always put yourself in the shoes of an English speaking and thinking person, therefore, use English search keywords. If you can’t figure them out, use the dictionaries, but PLEASE… DO NOT, EVER EVER use any of those crappy translators, such as Google Translator, or Babelfish, unless you want to get thrown out!

Wordreference: http://www.wordreference.com/fr/
An excellent English/French, or even English/English dictionary.

Merriam-Webster: http://www.merriam-webster.com/
One of the best Englis/English dictionaries where you will find all the definitions you need.

If you are looking for French Synonyms, here’s a good one: http://www.crisco.unicaen.fr/cgi-bin/cherches.cgi

And for the rest of you who are curious about anything and everything: Lexilogos
